Accessibility Statement
Last updated 24 October 2026
TASHNAZ ("we") wants everyone to be able to use tashnaz.com comfortably and independently, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of the craft, not a box to tick, and we keep improving it.
Accessibility level
The site has been adapted to the requirements of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568 (based on the W3C's WCAG 2.0 guidelines) at level AA, except for the limitations listed below. We also work toward WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 at level AA.
What we did
- Keyboard: everything works with a keyboard, with a "Skip to content" link and a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Structure: semantic HTML with headings in order, landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and real lists, so screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack can navigate the page.
- Labels: every button and field has an accessible name; decorative images and animations are hidden from screen readers; changes such as game scores and messages are announced.
- Language and direction: full Hebrew (right to left) and English versions, with the page language declared for assistive technology.
- Readability: text and controls meet AA colour contrast, text resizes up to 200% without losing content, and the layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops.
- Motion and sound: the site honours the "reduce motion" setting of your device, nothing flashes more than three times a second, and no sound plays on its own. Sounds play only after you interact, and can be muted.
- No time limits and no pop-ups that interrupt reading.
The accessibility menu
The round button with the accessibility icon, at the bottom corner of every page, opens a menu that lets you:
- enlarge the text (up to 150%);
- switch to high contrast (black, white and yellow, with decorations removed);
- switch to grayscale;
- highlight every link;
- use a plain, readable font;
- increase line, letter and word spacing;
- stop all animations and moving content;
- use a large cursor;
- make the keyboard focus stronger;
- mute the site's sounds (on the home page).
Your choices are saved only in your own browser, so they stay on the next visit. "Reset all" turns everything off.
Known limitations
- The mini Pocket Magnet game on the home page is a visual puzzle. It can be played with the arrow keys and the score is announced, but the board itself is not described in words. It is a demo only; nothing on the site depends on it.
- Easter eggs (hidden jokes and achievements) are mostly visual. They carry no essential information.
- App screenshots are decorative; everything they show is also described in the text.
- External sites we link to (the App Store, chickchak.app, kumu.fun) are run by their own owners and have their own accessibility statements.
If something on the site is not accessible to you, write to us and we will give you the information in another way that works for you.
Physical accessibility
TASHNAZ is an online studio. We have no office, branch or reception open to the public; all of our service is given online and by email.
How the site was checked
The site was checked with keyboard-only navigation, automated accessibility checks, browser zoom up to 200% and with the operating system's "reduce motion" and high-contrast settings, in current versions of the major browsers on desktop and mobile.
